Assistant Coach 1996
Richard Snipes
Richard Snipes begins his year as an assistant coach on Carolina head
coach Joe Sagula's Staff this fall. Snipes' principal responsiblities include
game mangement and operations, serving as the team head statistician and working
with the squad's blockers and middle hitters. He also worked as Carolina's
statistician and oversaw the videotaping of matches and practices during the
1995 seasonas a team manager. He is also a facility director and coach for the
UNC Volleyball Camps.
A native of Miami, Fla., Snipes attended high school in Glen Ellyn, Ill. He lettered
four years in tennis and two years in basketball, captianing the team as a senior. He
is also a member of the UNC men's club team that reached the National Club Championship
during the spring of 1996.
Snipes is a physics / economics double major and is on track to earn his undergraduate degree from UNC
in the Spring of 1997. He plans to work in investment banking after graduation.
