Diana Felker coached two years on Joe Sagula. Felker came to Chapel Hill from Cleveland State University where sher served as the assistant volleyball coach for two years. While at Cleveland State, Felker helped organize the 1996 NCAA Volleyball Championships. Felker found time while in Cleveland to also be the Club Director of the Viking / Q-Sport Volleyball Club. The Club included girls 10-18 years old and was designed to promote volleyball state-wide. Specifically, Felker was the head coach of the 18 Elite Team. Felker also earned her Master Degree in exercise sports magnement from Cleveland State during her time there.

Before her arrival in Cleveland, Felker was an outside hitter for the University of California at San Diego volleyball team. While at UCSD, she was an All-American in 1988 and 1989. She was also a member of the National Championship Team at UCSD in 1986, 87, and 1988. Felker is still the all-time kills leader and single-season kills leader at her alma mater.

After earning so many titles and honors, Felker shifted her attention from volleyball for one year when she joined the UCSD women's soccer team in 1990. She then graduated in 1991 from UCSD with a BA in Communications. In 1992 Felker returned to UCSD, becoming an assistant coach for three years. While there, the winning tradition continued as she took the 1992 and 1993 squads to the NCAA Division III final four.

Felker hopes to continue her winning traditions with the Tar Heels. "The team really has a sense of what it's takes to be a high caliber, nationally-ranked team" Felker Said. "That combined with their determination, should provide for a successful season."

Felker is the primary contact and planner fot the volleyball booster club, heads up the video analysis, assists with recruiting and focuses her coaching on the outside hitting position.

Felker is married to Ezra Felker. The couple recently had theri first child a girl, Maxine Margaret born May 3, 1999.
